Broken SpiritI bounded into my room after a day of school, throwing my backpack by the closet I went over to my desk and began digging through a box. In the box was many of my games. As I picked up Pokemon Heart Gold I noticed a blue color at the bottom of the box. I took it out and looked at it. The label was off, as my friend had peeled it off a while back. But nonetheless I knew what it was. Pokemon Sapphire, I thought I'd lost it! My mom must have put it in there. I grab my old gameboy and popped the cartridge in place. I wonder if you're enjoying
the curvature of her back.
The spine, a row of ossified crowns
crowded and curved around that defining neural superhighway;
that extension cord,
adventurously connecting the visceral
to the peripheral.
The horseshoe crab vertebrae
scuttle to break through skin at your touch;
reach out,
a defining shiver.
I see your hands
